I have a big mouth and I’m quite a load. I’m not gossip, but I get involved in everyone’s dirty business. What am I?

Stepping out? Wear me first! I’ll protect your feet from the worst.

Shoes

Tall and strong, I stay outside. The sun, the rain, they’re by my side. I give birds homes and help you breathe. I even give you fruit to eat.

Here I come and there I go. I move really fast, anywhere I go. That’s why you take me when you’re in a hurry. When I zoom by, I might look blurry.

Car

Kick up your feet, if you will. I’ll keep you company through Netflix and chill. Though you might not notice, I’m always here, to hold your zines, your snacks, and beer.

About Me

Hello, my name is Noah Rislov, and this is my first year here at Lane Community College. Currently I’m studying for Multimedia Design: Animation, but I enjoy exploring many forms of artistic expression. I originally started with music production/composition, and I’ve been working with that on my own time, and with the help of a producer for about 6 years now. From that, I’ve dabbled in video production and editing as well. However, I’m not nearly as versed in that field. Moving forward I want to learn more about animation (specifically computer animation), 3D modeling, and 3D sculpting.

Aside from the more artistic things, I also enjoy cooking, and learning Japanese. My grandpa had introduced me to these hobbies, and I have very fond memories of learning from him. I have also made some forign friends that I want to be able to speak with easier. 

Lastly, I’m originally from Lincoln City which is a small beach town about two hours from here. I haven’t lived here long, but I like it a lot more than there. After my time here, I hope to find a job in design. I look forward to meeting new people, and developing new skills.

Greetings, I’ve a passion for a number of random things including getting into uncomfortable situations around the world, under-proofing my sourdough loaves and taking the occasional black and white film photo, letting it sit in a random backpack for years and developing it in my bathroom a few years after finishing the roll. I have tried starting business, failed and tried again.

In a previous life I got an AA from LCC transferring to the UO with a BA in Ethnic Studies and a minor obsession with poetry and film classes. After the UO I left the country as fast as humanly possible moving to Thailand where I got an MA in Thai Studies. I’ve learned to write and forgotten to write, learned languages and now also forgotten them, silkscreened and sold t-shirts, worked in numerous random jobs and wandered and taught. Feeling at home while on the move I’ve spent several years taking stock photography and videography as well as written a book sized thesis about discourse analysis using Gramscian and cultural studies theories analysing advertising imagery in Thai lifestyle media. Currently I am attempting to finish my second year of a daily drawing/animation three hundred and sixty five day project.

My dreams from the animation option of the multimedia program is to be able to design, animate and do art on a beach somewhere while saving for a house and small farm in northern Thailand. Essentially to have enough skills to live outside the US but not have to completely rely on English language instruction as a primary career. As such, I hope to start or run my own small multimedia design firm working in realms of the bizarre and strange including games, videos, photos, storytelling, animations and design.

P1 About Me – Carsen

Hi! My name is Carsen Perry and this is my first year at Lane Community College!

About Me: I really enjoy listening to music and watching movies and shows. Some hobbies of mine include snowboarding, riding quads, and making videos. In the future I would like to get more involved in music production as well as learning how to play new instruments.

So far College has been going well. The only thing that can be a little annoying at times is the travel. I live all the way out in Sweet Home and it’s about a fifty mile drive just to get here, but fortunately I currently have a job so I can afford to drive here every day. Right now I’m working at Dutch Bros and It’s a pretty great job, the people I work with are super nice, and it pays really well. In the future I would like to be a director of some kind, either working for tv, movies or even directing smaller projects such as commercials or music videos.

I’m very happy with the classes that I’m taking right now and all the teachers are super chill. Hopefully I can impress myself this year with some of the work that I complete, and improve my film and art skills overall!

P1 About Me – Sandra

I love photography, and going on long random road trips where I get to experience something new and capture it with my camera.  I also like sewing small projects, my most recent project was making some curtains for my kids’ windows upstairs, so they can play their PS5 without any interference from bright daylight on their tv screen.  The most recent hobby I picked up is leatherwork. It’s amazing how much goes into leather work, but the finished product is very satisfying to look at, knowing it was made with your own hands.  

I was hesitant to go back to school after 13 long years, but I found the courage to finally put myself first, and ask what would make me happy at this point in my life.  I always wanted to finish school, I just wasn’t sure for what, but I have to act fast because I’m not getting any younger, but I still don’t feel too old either. 

I’m majoring in Multimedia Design with Web Design, and I don’t have an exact direction of where I want to take this, but I know it’s all going to be a great ride, and I’m looking forward to the good, the bad and the ugly.

This is me!

Ok be honest. who else read the title and thought of the song? …. no one, just me?.. ok… Anyway!

Hi I’m Alyssah but you can call me Aly! I’m 19 and in my second year here at lane! I’m going for a multimedia degree with adding the website design certificate. I added the certificate because I took a class that taught me the coding to make a website and I feel in love with the process. I really want to be my own boss and have people come to me to ask for help creating advertisements and to build their brand.

Something about me is that I love music with a really big passion. My playlist is a mixed of a lot of different genres, and I seem to be able to get a long with someone based on music. Some of my passions beside music, is Camping, Fishing, watching movies, and spending time with family! I also Have dyslexia and I take pride in how far i’ve come with it!

I’m really excited to be in this class and what im going to learn in this class! i’m looking forward to meeting you guys and getting to se everyone’s work and take on the project.
