About ME

this is me!

Hello!

I’m Isabella FM. I’m currently enrolled in Lane community college to earn a transfer degree in psychology, due to my fascination with neuroscience and sociology. I’m taking media arts because that was the degree I was initially interested in. *I wanted to be an animator and work for Pixar or something. So I’m curious to see how this class will unfold and see if it sparks past passions that have slowly faded over time. I still wouldn’t mind that career path but becoming a therapist is also a path I wouldn’t mind going down, so I’m at a fork in the road when it comes to planning my future and career.

A little about me, I spend my free time either reading a book or on a hunt for a new one. I adore tea, *the stuff you drink, not gossip, so I have a tendency to spend my time in a tea shop reading. I’m a barista and I have two jobs so I’m a fairly busy person. I’m introverted so I like to spend my time in a quiet warm place. I like to travel as well; the most exciting place I’ve been to is Greece. I have a cat named Bergamot who is always by my side when I’m home.
I think that’s just enough to share about myself to get a good feel of who I am.

Books I recently finished or am reading: – Carmilla: Josph Sheridan Le Fanu – My year of rest and relaxation: Ottessa Moshfegh – Play it as it Lays: Joan Didion -Emotional intelligence: Travis Bradburry & Jean Greaves

P.S I also own a cat named Bergamot and if you are into astrology I’m a Cancer.

P1-About Me

Yo, my name is Angel !

This is my second term here at Lane and so far its been a very delightful experience. I’m currently going in for an Animation and Mixed Media degree. I’m hopeful to become a future animator and be able to create projects and be able to make comics as well. I look forward to be able to improve in my skills and be able to produce my best efforts in my degree! I had already attended a different school going into Digital Art and Animation, however that didn’t go well for me. Fortunately, I was able to attend Lane who offered a similar and affordable experience. I always had a passion for drawing, creating stories and animating . At first I had been intimidated by the idea of animating, however as soon as I began to learn and get myself involved- I instantly became in love with it! I always wanted to become part of a video game development team, but I found myself more attracted to animating cartoons as I felt that I was bringing my drawings to life. I don’t feel as I am at a one-hundred percent, however I will be willing to improve and reach my highest potential!

Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what you want to do in your life, and that’s OK. I certainly took the scenic route to get where I am.
I am a part-time multimedia student with a love for animals and old iron. A career in veterinary medicine was out of the question (I don’t do well with blood!) and even thought I am a third-generation mechanic, that wasn’t something I wanted to do for a living. I took a year off after high school to gain experience in the workforce. One year turned into seven…but here we are.
My love of photography comes from not finding the perfect shot taken by someone else. Lots of people enjoy taking pictures, but to get the exact shot that I wanted, I had to get it myself. If my trusty Canon T7 could talk, it would have a few stories to tell. From railroads to airplanes, kitties to horses, you’ll find me behind the lens on my adventures.

P6 Final Project.

The difficult parts came when I started to edit the video. I first put all the clips in Premiere and edited them how I wanted but realized that it the video came out to be 3 minutes and 11 seconds. So I started to shave off some parts there we are walking or standing and speed up the driving sequences. Another frustrating part was at the very beginning and very end. When we were filming the beginning, I kept on messing up my lines and we were spending too much time on that one scene so I decided that I would just try to fix it in post but the final edit doesn’t sound too good in my opinion. I also had to rush the very end too because of time constraints so it looks and sounds very rushed. I did have fun editing though, my favorite arts of the video are when I edited one audio track over different shots. All in all I think my video would have been much more smooth and overall better if I didn’t have the time limit but I’m glad I could make it work within the 3 minutes.

Quinn Final Project

Ridic was the first to come up with the idea to make a skit about newscasters, and we wrote the entire script over the phone. Most of the production work naturally fell on ridic because he had better access to filming equipment and the relative complexity of his scenes. Because of this I did the majority of post production. During filming I created a news intro in blender and made Ridic’s background photo using the same file. Then I shot my scenes with help and equipment from ridic. After Ridic cleaned up the raw audio I put all of the clips together and added the music and effects to make the final product.

In the end, working with a partner taught me a lot about the actual process of filmmaking, how to work with a team, and how to complete a project you don’t have full control over.
