  • One sheet, two-sheet, three sheets or four…some use less and some use more. What am I? Toilet paper.
  • What has arms and legs, but no head? A chair.
  • What can’t be burned in a fire nor drowned in water? Ice.
  • I have a big mouth and I’m quite a load. I’m not gossip, but I get involved in everyone’s dirty business. What am I? A laundry machine.
  • Stepping out? Wear me first! I’ll protect your feet from the worst. What am I? Shoes.
  • Tall and strong, I stay outside. The sun, the rain, they’re by my side. I give birds homes and help you breathe. I even give you fruit to eat. What am I? A tree.
  • Here I come and there I go. I move really fast, anywhere I go. That’s why you take me when you’re in a hurry. When I zoom by, I might look blurry. What am I? A car.
  • Kick up your feet, if you will. I’ll keep you company through Netflix and chill. Though you might not notice, I’m always here, to hold your zines, your snacks, and beer. What am I? A coffee table/ottoman.
  • You say we’re pals, that we’re best friends. But only until the morning ends. You say I give you fuel for the day. And when we’re done, you’re gone away.  What am I? Coffee.
  •  Don’t frown at me, I made it clear. Won’t make a difference if you’re near. Just stand in front and I’ll show you exactly how the world will know you. What am I? A mirror.

W21-P2 The Junk I Live Around

Behold: the royal Bottom Cloth. Quite a sight indeed.
Many generations have sat in this lovely seat. Too many in fact…We should probably get a new one…
I wasted six ice cubes for this picture. I can’t tell if it was worth it.
I don’t use it as often as I probably should.
They ain’t pumped up kicks, but they still have kick in ’em.
This tree is the same age as me!
I’m learning to drive using this car. The stereotype of speedy red cars probably won’t work in my favor.
We can’t put anything on this table without the cat trying to knock it off.
Brilliant anniversary gift for my parents. I wish I had the brains to get them something like this.
I don’t often look in mirrors, so when I do pass by one, it kinda scares me.

Sydney’s Riddle Assignment

Toilet Paper. Nothing special here, just a simple shot of a TP roll in my mother’s house. I particularly liked the shadows in this picture.
Chairs. This vintage salon chairs have been a staple of my home neighborhood since I was young, and they were the first image to cross my mind when reading over this assignment.
Ice. I planned to photograph ice while snowboarding last weekend, but it was so warm and sunny on the mountain I couldn’t find any.
Washer, I photographed this while walking at night, thought an outside shot looking into a wash room would work great for this project.
Shoes, I’m no sneaker head but here’s my favorite pair of shoes.
Trees, the tall trees in the miniature forest that is my neighbors back yard.
Cars. I purposefully took this picture behind the window and shade to offer perspective to the image rather than just a plan old car.
Coffee Table, not a particularly interesting photo, but it gets the job done.
Coffee, featuring my favorite mug.
Mirror. I’ve always loved this mirrored door in my old neighborhood and thought it would make a great shot.
