Hi there! My name is Georgia and I’m still relatively new to the PNW. I moved to Eugene from Las Vegas a little over a year ago and still, everyday, I fall in love with the scenery. Big, beautiful trees aren’t exactly commonplace in the desert.
Originally, I moved here with the intent to attend LCC for a year, in order to establish Oregon residency, and then transfer to PSU for their film program. Plans have since changed and this is my first term in the Multimedia Design program. I’m really pumped to be here and learn as much as I can. I’m pretty shy, so networking is going to be the biggest challenge for me. I welcome you to save me the anxiety and introduce yourself if you ever see me around.
I currently spend my days attending class and my nights waitressing at Chicken Bonz in Springfield. In my limited amount of free time, my boyfriend Keasey (also a student in this program) and I try to watch as many movies as we possibly can. Our goal is to watch 70 films together this school year and have our very own, black-tie/ball gown award show in his tiny, drab garage. Party of 2– Unless you are really interested in attending our highly exclusive event, in which case, I’ll see what I can do. So far we are at 35 movies, ranging from There Will be Blood to All Cheerleaders Die.
After LCC I’d really like to work in post-production film, although, there are plenty of jobs in the industry that I would be thrilled to obtain. One of the main reasons I decided on this program was so that I will be introduced to opportunities I would never have considered. I look forward to our time together throughout this program. X.x.
Whats your favorite genre of film?
Welcome to Eugene and it is great that you and Keasey are going thought this program together. You are right, networking is an important aspect and hard. It is a challenge for me too. Good luck in achieving your goals.
I like the photo! Did you take it on Spencers?
