Wow! I had so many tech issues with this project. From uploading to having to update my graphics drivers… Getting this video posted has been tricky, but here it is! I chose to create a video about taking my dog on a walk, one where she gets to be off leash, which is so much more enjoyable for her. I recorded some sound effects and added those, and chose a happy classical music track from freesound.com to accompany my video. I think the music choice uplifts the video nicely. My sounds don’t always match up perfectly with the action, however, with how many issues and updates I went through to get this video here, I’m just happy that it flows semi-well. I read an Aesop fable that appeared to have a very understandable moral to it’s story as it clarifies to the readers that despite how one may look or appear in size or matter. It doesn’t change the fact of how impactful and aspiring they can be. I was trying to convey the atmosphere in which this would occur in- giving it the sounds of the jungle and even giving the animal protagonists in the story voices and sound effects. Hopefully by doing so I have been able to give the readers a visonary experience upon hearing my take on the “Lion and the Mouse”, as it has been one of my favorite fables. I do hope you all are satisfied with my reading and hope it gives you a pleasurable experience, and could possibly be used for good night stories or perhaps lullabies.

During this assignment I was trying to create a serene environment in which listeners can put themselves into a spa like head-space. My goal is to broadcast information about the spa’s newest addition, which is acupuncture therapy. I tried to make it fun by adding in sounds and different voices to keep the audience engaged. My project did not turn out exactly how I wanted because of the new technology I was using. After realising how difficult it was to use I am now even more happy with the product. I had a difficult time doing this assignment due to the new software that we had to use. My experience was interesting in the fact that I got to explore more online platforms to create projects, in this case audio. I really liked using this platform because I got to explore an application with audio. I think that this platform is extremely important to learn and explore for the future. You can use this software to create so many different things. I like that there are so many different features you can use to change the product. Although I experienced difficulties using the software, once I got used to it I was very happy with my final product.

For my road trip nation assignment I chose the series of interviews with Bob Cassilly. I chose these interviews because Bob talks a lot about his depression and how it affects his daily life which is something I really relate to on a personal level.

Hello! My name is Savina Fetch. I am a sophomore enrolled at Lane Community College majoring in a business transfer degree. I chose this for the easiest way possible for my business credits to transfer to University of Oregon; where I will be attending in the future. I took Introduction to Media Arts because I felt like it would be a beneficial skill to use in the business major especially while wanting to work for a bigger company that are skilled in media arts. I never planned on attending Lane at first because I wanted a full college feel in my first years of school. Sadly, COVID changed that for me, but it turned out to be a great opportunity for me. I ended up at Lane because I lived at home my first year, saved money and started playing for the Lane’s women soccer team. Soccer has been something that I’ve surrounded my life with for a very long time. I grew up in a smaller town named McMinnville Oregon, and played soccer, basketball and tennis throughout my childhood and high school. A lot of my hobbies included sports because it’s what took most of my time, but I enjoy broadening my horizons of life by always trying different things. I would consider myself a big foodie because I love trying new foods and cooking them. My favorite kind of food is asian inspired plates like a good type of curry or sushi. I also enjoy cooking more Hispanic inspired dishes because my grandma and nana taught me how to make tons of recipes when I was a child. My favorite dish to make is either chicken mole with Spanish rice or when I make pozole with my dad. I spend most of my time reading or watching anime or going thrift shopping with my boyfriend. The manga I am reading as of right now is Tomie, and I am in the middle of watching Code Geass. Thanks for reading about me!

What has arms and legs, but no head?

I have a big mouth and I’m quite a load. I’m not gossip, but I get involved in
everyone’s dirty business. What am I?

Stepping out? Wear me first! I’ll protect your feet from the worst.

Tall and strong, I stay outside. The sun, the rain, they’re by my side. I give birds
homes and help you breathe. I even give you fruit to eat.

Here I come and there I go. I move really fast, anywhere I go. That’s why you
take me when you’re in a hurry. When I zoom by, I might look blurry.

Kick up your feet, if you will. I’ll keep you company through Netflix and chill.
Though you might not notice, I’m always here, to hold your zines, your snacks,
and beer.

You say we’re pals, that we’re best friends. But only until the morning ends. You
say I give you fuel for the day. And when we’re done, you’re gone away.

Don’t frown at me, I made it clear. Won’t make a difference if you’re near. Just
stand in front and I’ll show you exactly how the world will know you.
