About me: My name is Jesse Daniel Jacobs.
I’m an artist and writer currently attending Lane community college with the intent of achieving a degree in multimedia design, no matter how stressful getting it might be.
As an artist I enjoy creating my own characters, with my art style being unambiguously inspired by Japanese anime which has been a huge influence on me sense I was a little kid. As such, some of my drawings might not be for everybody, but I still enjoy making them.
I am actually quite confident in my skills as an artist so, if anybody is interested, hit me up for a commission or two.
On top of my artistic skills however, I also happen to be a rather skilled writer and enjoy crafting my own literary tails. Granted, these tend to be chock full of spelling errors but on the upside the narratives tend to be well received regardless.
Both my writing and art are also heavily influenced by mythology and fantasy, specifically Classical myths which I have studied obsessively ever sense I read the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series in sixth grade. With that said, I am actually working on my own urban fantasy novel using a Greek myth setting.
As you might have noticed, I have a bit of an obsessive mind on specific subjects.
When I was five years old, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome.
While I don’t feel that this is really a problem, nor am I ashamed of having it, it does make it harder for me to interact socially with others and when I was younger caused me to have a rather poor grasp on common social actions and would act out in unacceptable ways. Through hard work and constant self reflection I was eventually able to understand that my behavior was not okay, but I still had trouble fully understanding how to interact with people and still have trouble with it from time to time.
Nevertheless, I am a hard worker when I put my mind to something and will do my best to complete any task or assignment I am given.
