Had a really tough time coming up with an idea but thanks to a quick viewing of Empire Strikes Back over the weekend, I found some good inspiration! I had a hard time trying to work with Audacity as I couldn’t get it to open on the iMac in class and also couldn’t get it to open on my own computer at home. So I went with my old roots and created a mix in Garageband. I found all my sound clips at media college.com as well as freesoundeffects.com

Really wish I could’ve found a voice generator that was actually legit enough to use but had no luck. Hope you enjoyed!

This was originally part of a soundtrack to an animated mini series called “Over the Garden Wall” I had done my own reinterpretation of it by using audio from a YouTube clip of a piano player’s tune, who “played-by-ear” to get the sound to match the original. Along with my attempt at singing the melody. I was very captivated by the show for it’s use of music and animation.      – Derek Watson

I was trying to imitate the scene in Ace Ventura where he meditates and transcends reality so he can travel to a temple and solve his case. Tried to learn how to use reverberation to give the sounds much more echo and depth. So your mind can go into the sounds and be moved by them. These sounds have been shown to put you in a trance state which is why monks and generally people who meditate use chants. The deep sounds you can make with your voice can relax you and vibrate your body and soul to transcendence.

Think I still have more work to do to make a track that does this, but it’s a start. I enjoyed playing around with the echoes, reverbs, and delays. I learned how to move tracks around the timeline freely, use the envelope tool to manipulate the volume level at certain points in the track, and how to use all those cool effects! Looking forward to editing audio more in the future.

With this audio recording, I was trying to accomplish telling an old fable with a sense of mystery and whimsical story telling. I added some sound effects which i downloaded from freesound.org. I downloaded a scary horrifying sound for when the boy meets the wolf, and a flute playing for when the wolf plays for the boy. I really liked this story. I liked how the boy knew he was probably going to die, so he asked to dance. It was his dying wish. I’m not sure if he knew the other dogs would come and scare off the wolf, but it was a clever trick. Also the wolf became aware of his actions and he got what he deserved. He regretted playing for the boy.

What i desire to be a reality is a devil fruit. These items when consumed will grants extraordinary abilities that are considered dangerous in the wrong hands. If you wish to know the categories they are three different kinds, the first is called Paramecia which translates to Superhuman System ranging from skills as being made of rubber to being a walking skeleton, the second classification is Zoan which means Animal System it is broken into three sub-categories being common animals to ancient animals and ends with mythical animals, and the final class is called Logia which translates to Nature System which will turn you into a single element where your body if attacked by an enemy will transform into the element you have chosen being that of electricity, fire, ice, and light. The devil fruits are from an anime I enjoy called One Piece a pirate themed show with some of the funniest characters and intense fights if you choose to go past the first season. If you chose to consume a devil fruit you should be warned that it would taste like you have just eaten poison for they are an artifact that is unknown about it’s origin and why it even exists either way if they were real I would have a blast with them seeking them out and offering them to whom I think would have the most fun with them.
