For my final project I decided to do a tour type slideshow of Lane Community College with corresponding sounds for each place.
For the Center Building I went with construction noise because that is the main sound you hear from that building.
I also put in a still photo of the Turkeys that are running all over the place.
I enjoyed doing this project but due to being sick for a week I couldn’t get more buildings into the slideshow.
Some of the pictures I was taking was when the rain had control so some of the pictures are from the rainy time and some are from a sunny time.
I used a DSRL camera I checked out from the equipment check out and used different sounds from freesound.org. I also used IMovie which was again a pain because it keep messing with my audio files.
For my P5 project I decided to do the five wildlife around Lane Community College campus. I wanted to get more pictures of the stray cats outside of the Machinery department but, there was the only one. I also got some pictures of the turkeys that run around the campus. I couldn’t get into the pond due to it requiring authorized personal so I went to Amazon Park and got some really nice pictures of the ducks and geese with their babies. For the cougar it was the same with the ducks and geese but, instead I took pictures of the locations they are said to show up when they attack.
I enjoyed doing this more then I did with the audio. I got some really good shots of the ducks and geese which was fun, plus trying to get shots of the cougars was a thrilling adventure and amazing let down when I wasn’t able to get any.
I used Imovie which was a pain to use and the music I used was Gentle Piano Loop from freesounds.org
I decided with the audio project I would do a retelling of the urban legend “Human’s can lick, too” with some eerie music and some sounds to go along with the story.
In the project I used a dog shaking it’s head, a psychotic laugh, a door and window locking, a dripping sound, and a female screaming as the sounds. I used a music track called ambient darkness as the background music.
It took me about 16 or more tries to get the talking part of the audio down, so that there wasn’t any mistakes, I do hope there wasn’t any.
Personally I didn’t like doing this project because I’m not good with making a great audio track and keeping all the sounds in sync with the audio.
Craig Jones Wildlife Photography
After searching the wonderful world-wide web for a professional blog that seemed to fit my interests. I end up finding “Craig Jones Wildlife Photography” blog that had amazing photos of wildlife ranging from small birds up to a talented whale doing a back flip out of the water.
From what I can tell the site looks professionally done, instead of a WordPress like website. I don’t know if there are other websites that can make it look professional as Craig’s blog does.
The quality from Craig’s blog is excellent because, he talk about his time going into the jungle to search for wildlife in their natural environment. Some of the wonderful pictures he took of wildlife were that of the Bengal Tiger. He went to “Ranthambhore National Park” and got some amazing shots of Monkeys, Birds, Deer, and other wildlife.
Craig went to the zoo on his trip and shot pictures of wildlife in a unhappy unnatural environment, some of the shots were of birds that had their feathers falling out due to stress. Others were of the caged tigers, which looked in pain and uncomfortable. As he was taking the picture from “behind the scenes” he had to hold himself back because he felt bad for the mistreatment of the animals and he got those pain and misery in the tigers eyes via the pictures.
As I read and saw more pictures from Craig’s blog, I hope that when I start to get in the same area Craig was in I won’t have to experience the same pain as he did.

My name is Cory Peterson, I was born in Portland, Oregon. Moved and lived for a few years in Salem, Oregon then in 1995 moved to Eugene, Oregon. I have lived in Eugene for close to twenty years. I live with my parents and help them with taking care of the three dogs, five cats, and one bird. The dog name’s are Jazmin, Angel, and Zen. The cat name’s are Hades, Isis, Xanadu ( itty bit), Nix, and Medusa. The bird’s name is Samson In my spare time I play MMORPG (multimedia online role playing games) video games mainly DC Universe Online and Rift. I also like to construct different things using legos sometimes I leave then the way they are from the box other times I build them then take them apart and build random things. I really enjoy mythology and the unknown, with the mythology I tend to focus on similarities in myths from all over the world, like Norse myth about Ragnarok and Christian’s end of the world myth, both state that it will start in a fiery way. The unknown would be things people think don’t exist like Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot, we haven’t even explored 100% of the planet so we cant really say there isn’t a real monster in the world or not, which makes learning and trying to figure out the unknown just as much exciting as finding new planets.
