This is my first term teaching American Literature I (Beginnings to 1865) at Lane. As with my Women Writers class last term, I am teaching two days in a traditional classroom, and then one (shorter, 50-minute) class in a computer lab.

This is a very different group of students compared to Women Writers. Half of them are English Majors, the other half have taken at least one literature course before, and all of them have completed their program-level writing classes. They are all quite self-sufficient
with computers so far (this is Week 3).

These are my notes for Digital Humanities Labs for American Lit Winter 2013. I will try to post assignments as I create them.
